The Thames Tunnel Diving Bell, 1827
About

In 1827 a tunnel was being dug across the Thames. Half way across the tunnel fell in and flooded. A diving bell was used to go down into the river and look for the hole. The hole was found and plugged with bags of clay and gravel. These can be seen in the boat in the middle.

Can you work out how the bell would be sent down and brought up?
