Continuous Production

Documents are not retrieved at set times but non-stop throughout the day. This method is used by very large archives such as The National Archives at Kew.

Document Production

The process by which documents are ordered by the public; then produced by Services Assistants in the Reading Room and finally returned to their rightful location in the strong room. Usually this is done at set times.
